Daniel was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and resides there today. A lifelong genre nut, he has worked as a commercial director for the last 15 years. Daniel is also one of the partners in Sunjive Studios, the former South Australian Film Corporation site and the largest privately owned film studio complex in Australia. It boasts sound stages, production facilities and end-to-end post production, including a Dolby Atmos Mixing Theatre.

After directing award-winning short films, Daniel made his first feature, Awoken – a $2.7M horror film, which has been released in over 20 countries so far, including on Amazon Prime and Hulu in the U.S. He is currently in pre-production on his second film Diabolic, a $4.3m female-driven horror which is fully financed and being produced by Headgear (Phil Hunt) and Monster Pictures (Grant Hardie and Chris Brown).
