Daniel J. Phillips is also one of the owners of Hendon Studios, the largest independently owned film studio complex in Australia. Formerly run by the South Australian Film Corporation, the studio boasts two large sound stages, production offices, art dept spaces, make-up, wardrobe, edit suites, and a foley/ADR suite. The studio has housed such productions as Wolf Creek 2, Danger 5, Anzac Girls, Wolf Creek Stan TV Series, and most recently I Am Mother, starring Hilary Swank.
The facility is set up to accommodate any film or television production, and in additional to the flexible industry-standard spaces, offers a healthy reinvestment scheme to assist producers in getting their projects to the screen. Hendon also offers pre-production services, such as 3D pre-visualisation, concept art work, and pitch documents. Daniel has been able to utilise the facility in his own productions, and encourages other filmmakers to explore what Hendon Studios has to offer. A studio for filmmakers, by filmmakers.
